The processors and graphics cards listed within each tier are alternatives. A PC does not need both an Intel and AMD processor or cards from several GPU manufacturers. Every tier also requires a broadband connection, TPM 2.0 enabled, UEFI Secure Boot enabled, and hardware capable of HVCI and VBS. Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling is recommended for the minimum Windows 10 configuration.

A system should be judged by its weakest relevant component. An RTX 3060 Ti paired with an older processor below the minimum requirement does not qualify for the Recommended tier. A Core i7-10700 paired with an RTX 2060 remains limited to the minimum GPU tier despite meeting the recommended processor requirement. An RTX 3060 Ti paired with only 8GB of system RAM falls below the minimum because Battlefield 6 requires 16GB.
